The best SEBO vacuum for your home
Short answer: most homes pick the Airbelt E3 canister, our #1 SEBO seller. Upright fans pick the Felix or an AUTOMATIC X.
1. Upright or canister?
SEBO’s own advice: if you’ve always used an upright, stay with one; if you use a canister, stay with that. An upright is one machine to push. A canister is a light wand to carry – easier on stairs and under furniture.
2. Carpet, hard floors or both?
- Mostly carpet: AUTOMATIC X7 or X8 – they set their own brush height
- Mixed floors and rugs: Felix or Airbelt E3 – both come with a parquet brush
- Mostly hard floors: Airbelt E1 Kombi or E2 Turbo
3. Pets?
Our SEBO vacuum for pet hair picks have an electric power head: the ET-1 on the Airbelt E3, D4, K3, Felix and Dart, or an AUTOMATIC X. The X7 Premium Pet adds a handheld turbo brush for furniture and an odor filter.
Big house or small?
- Big house: Airbelt D4 (52 ft reach) or the 15 in AUTOMATIC X8
- Smaller home: Airbelt K3 or the Dart
- Quick pickups: the cordless Balance A1

SEBO vacuum reviews: what we see
Our take: SEBO is our #1 selling brand. The Airbelt E3 is our top seller of any brand in 2026, and the Felix is our top upright. Our most common SEBO fixes are jammed or worn brush rollers, bag-light clogs, ET head belts and cords.

Stark’s experience first
- Canisters (Airbelt E, D, K): quiet and easy on furniture; the E3 is our #1 SEBO
- Uprights (AUTOMATIC X, Felix, Dart): AUTOMATIC X for carpet-heavy homes, Felix for people who want a light feel
- Cordless (Balance A1): for quick pickups, not a whole-house vacuum
- All of them use parts we stock, so most fixes are done at our counter
What other reviewers say
- Reviewed (2020) on the AUTOMATIC X7: praised its filtration and low profile, found it heavy to steer, and pointed it to allergy households.
- Woman & Home on the AUTOMATIC X7: strong suction that adjusts to the floor, but loud and heavy to carry.
Our spotlight picks: Airbelt E3 for most homes, Felix for stairs and small spaces, AUTOMATIC X7 for carpet.

SEBO buying questions
SEBO says that with care they last ten to fifteen years or more, and they’re built to be repaired. Registered with a dealer code, the warranty runs up to 10 years.
SEBO calls its prices mid-range. You get a machine designed and made in Germany, with commercial-grade parts, sealed S-class filtration and a 7-year motor warranty.
We don’t post SEBO sales online. We do match a lower advertised price on the same new SEBO from an authorized retailer, checked in store – and our longer warranty comes with it.
SEBO rates the Airbelt E1 and E2 at 58 dBA and the E3 at 62. Its uprights run 68 to 69 dBA.
Every SEBO has sealed S-class filtration; SEBO says it catches over 99.9% of particles down to 0.3 microns. HEPA filters are an option on some models. See HEPA vacuums.
