Riccar vacuum problems we fix
Red lights
Brush stops, headlights flash red. The jam sensor tripped. Still flashing once clear? Likely the brushroll motor.
Shuts off
Motors off, lights on. Thermal shutoff from a full bag or clog. Clear it, press the reset on the back.
Bag light
Full-bag light won’t quit. A clog, or fine dust like flour or drywall. Tool use can set it off too.
Pickup
Poor pickup. Carpet button off, worn brush strips, a clogged filter or the belt.
Also common: cord or switch problems. Cords and switches wear on busy uprights. We replace them with genuine Riccar parts. Burning smell? Stop using it; often a slipping belt.

“I took my simplicity vacuum to Stark’s in Beaverton, I bought my cleaner in another state, so was looking for someone local to repair it. I drove up to Stark’s, Rick came out to my car and helped me carry the vacuum in. I was so delighted with that!”
