Check brush
Red brush light flashes, then off. The roller jammed. Cleared, then we check the belt and bearings.
Solid red
Red brush light stays on. The brush roller is worn down, or on an Airbelt the height is set too high. We reset it or fit a new roller.
Check bag
Bag light on with a new bag. A clog in the base, hose or swivel neck, or a dirty filter.
ET head
ET head stops. On Airbelt canisters a jam or deep shag trips its overload. Cleared, or a new belt or roller.
Bag light flashes
AUTOMATIC X bag light flashes, motor off. A full bag or a clog stopped the motor. New bag, or we clear the clog and check the hose.
Orange window
Airbelt, Felix or Dart window turns orange. Full bag, clog or dirty filter. On an Airbelt, ignore it and the motor shuts off in about 6–10 minutes.
Also common: weak suction. A full bag, packed filter or clogged hose. We clear it and check the seals. Burning smell? Stop using it to avoid more damage.

- Cut hair and thread tangles off the brush roller so it keeps spinning.
